Social hour and registration will begin at 5:30 pm, dinner buffet opens at 6:15 pm, and the program starts at 6:30 pm. The event ends between 8:00 and 8:30 pm.
Your speaker, Dr. Bill Harrell:
Dr. Harrell is a Board-Certified Orthodontist and certified in Dental Sleep Medicine. He is in private practice in Alexander City, AL and is a part-time professor at the University of Alabama Birmingham Orthodontic Department. His focus is on Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics and its relationship to airway and TMJ disorders. Dr. Harrell worked directly with the pioneer of TMJ Disorders, the late Dr. Bill Farrar, of Montgomery, AL. (father of Dr. Marie Farrar). Dr. Harrell is the first in Alabama to have ConeBeam CT in 2005. Dr. Harrell is on the ADA’s Children’s Airway Screener Taskforce (CAST) helping to develop and validate a new simple screening questionnaire (Children’s General Airway Screening Protocol (C-GASP) to aid all healthcare practitioners to quickly screen for Sleep Related Sleep Disorders in children from 2 – 12 years of age and to refer to the appropriate medical/dental/allied healthcare practitioners for diagnosis and treatment.
